How to decorate Princess Elsa Easter eggs

Popular Easter egg designs will include those characters from Disney’s hit animated movie, Frozen: Princess Anna, her sister Princess Elsa, Kristoff the outdoorsman, Olaf, Sven the reindeer and Hans the handsome royal. Instead of purchasing the typical and costly Disney Easter egg coloring kit, be unique and decorate your own.

How to decorate Princess Elsa Easter eggsTo make Queen Elsa Easter eggs, supplies needed include:

- Hard boiled eggs
- acrylic paints or markers in blue, brown, black, red and pink colors
Hot glue sticks and hot glue gun
- Black sharpie markers (fine and medium point)

To begin, boil the eggs and let them cool.

To make Elsa’s facial features:

1. Start with Elsa’s hair as this is a large part of the egg. Cover one side with brown paint or marker for the back of her head. Then, draw several slanted lines down the front of the egg forming Elsa’s bangs. To create Elsa’s “braid”, make criss cross X-shaped patterns in the lower brown portion of the egg.

2. Draw two circles somewhat close together near the top portion of the egg. Add a couple semi-circle lines to the sides of the circles to form eyelashes

3. Using red marker or paint, draw a smile for Elsa’s mouth

4. For Elsa’s rosey cheeks, use pink marker or paint to form two smaller circles.

Once Princess Elsa’s hair and facial features are complete, prop Elsa up in a cardboard egg holder or use the caps off of 12-16 oz water bottles as a base.

To begin, boil the eggs and let them cool. Gather several baby carrots, clean them and then cut one end off at a slanted angle. If desired, thin the baby carrot into a pointed nose shape using a paring knife so that it fits Olaf’s face.

To make Olaf’s facial features:
1. Download the Olaf face template available here.
2. Print the template (use zoom in feature for a smaller version) to fit the egg.
3. Cut out the pieces of Olaf’s face (eyebrows, eyes, mouth) and tape the pieces onto the egg.
4. Trace each piece using a pencil and then remove the taped pieces.
5. Color in the design using black Sharpie markers.
6. Using hot glue or craft glue, glue the slanted end of the carrot onto egg
7. Erase excess pencil marks using an eraser

Finally, cut a black pipe cleaner into 3 pieces and then glue the pieces to the top of the egg.

If preferred, one can make a 3D stuffed Olaf carrot nose instead of using carrots. Visit Howto Make an Olaf the Snowman Halloween Costume for detailed information.

How to decorate a Disney Frozen Christmas tree

christmas xmas tree decorating frozen elsa olaf
Decorate a Christmas tree with the hottest characters around … those characters from Disney’s hit animated movie,: Princess Anna, her sister Princess Elsa, Kristoff the outdoorsman, Olaf, Sven the reindeer and Hans the handsome royal. Instead of decorating the tree in typical fashion – add some character and give it a theme … a Frozen theme.
Supplies needed include:

- Green
Christmas tree
Blue Christmas lights
White tulle
- Blue sheer ribbon with glitter snowflakes
Silver and blue ornaments
- Fishing line
Olaf the Snowman pillow character
- Frozen toys

To decorate the
Disney Frozen Christmas tree, begin by adding blue lights around the tree. Then, wrap the white tulle around the tree followed by the sheer snowflake ribbon. Add the silver and blue ornaments, placing the smaller ornaments near the top of the tree. For the tree topper, add an Olaf the Snowman pillow character (available here) securing it with fishing line.

For extra décor, add smaller
Disney Frozen toys throughout the tree. On Christmas Eve, Santa will complete the tree with many Frozen themed toys under the tree.

How to Carve an Olaf the snowman Pumpkin for Halloween

A popular theme for Halloween this year will include those characters from Disney’s hit animated movie, Frozen: Princess Anna, her sister Princess Elsa, Kristoff the outdoorsman, Olaf, Sven the reindeer and Hans the handsome royal. Instead of creating a typical scary face jack o lantern, be unique and build your own snowman … Olaf! Olaf is the friendliest snowman to walk the mountains above Arendelle and he likes warm hugs.

To create an Olaf the Snowman Carved Pumpkin, supplies needed include:

Olaf the Snowman Pumpkin Carving Decorating- 3 pumpkins: 2 oval shaped pumpkins, 1 round pumpkin
- Carving utensils (poker, scooper) available on
Amazon.com
Carving knives
- Newspaper
- 3
flameless tea lights
- Large size peanut butter jar lid
- Pencil
- Two twigs for arms, 3 smaller twigs for hair
- Olaf face template, available
here

To create the Olaf jack o’ lantern: Pick out 3 pumpkins (2 rectangular shaped and 1 round). Many grocers offer deals on pumpkins during the Fall. For example, I purchased 3 good size pumpkins for $10 at Kroger. Carefully cut open each pumpkin and clean out the inside. If desired, set the pumpkin seeds aside for baking.
pumpkin carving contest olaf the snowman
Using the circular peanut butter jar lid, trace 2 circles on one of the larger pumpkins. Trace one circular shape onto the round pumpkin. With carving tools, or a small sharp knife, carefully cut out the circles.

Tape the Olaf face template onto the last oval shaped pumpkin. Using a
pumpkin carving poker, trace the design on to the pumpkin by poking holes along the pattern. Then, starting from the inside design of the face, carefully cut out the black shaped patterns of the template, creating Olaf’s face.

On the bottom pumpkin (with 2 holes), cut a large opening at the top of the pumpkin so the smaller round pumpkin fits snug on top. On the round pumpkin, cut a fairly good size hole at the top so the last large pumpkin sits securely on top. If the holes are big enough and cut properly, Olaf should stand on his own with the pumpkins stacked.

Locate two twigs for Olaf’s arm and 3 smaller twigs for his hair. To add the twigs to Olaf, use the poker carving tool to poke holes and place the twigs inside. If desired, create a small sign with “I love warm hugs – Olaf” on it is obvious the creation is Olaf and not just any snowman. After dark, light tea lights (or
purchase battery-operated tea lights) to see Olaf glow!

How to Make an Olaf the Snowman Halloween costume

Popular
Halloween costumes for this year will include those characters from Disney’s hit animated movie, Frozen: Princess Anna, her sister Princess Elsa, Kristoff the outdoorsman, Olaf, Sven the reindeer and Hans the handsome royal. Instead of purchasing the typical and costly Disney costume, be unique and build your own snowman … Olaf!
Olaf is the friendliest snowman to walk the mountains above Arendelle and he likes warm hugs. To make an Olaf the Snowman Halloween costume for boys and girls, supplies needed include:

1. White shirt (tee shirt or sweatshirt depending on weather)
2.
Orange, white and black felt sheets
3.
White baseball cap
4. White
sweatpants
5. Black shoes
6.
12 ounce bag Poly-fil stuffing for nose
7. Scissors
8.
Hot glue sticks and hot glue gun
9.
Black pipe cleaners
Once the supplies are gathered, start to create the homemade costume following these steps:

1. Using the template available here, cut out the pieces and then trace them onto the corresponding colored felt squares.
2. To make the circles perfectly round, one can use objects around the house that are approximately the same size as the circles shown on the template (soup cans, bottoms of drinking glasses, etc).
3. Assemble the eyes as shown using the hot glue gun.
4. Place the completed eyes, eyebrows on the baseball cap and glue in place.
5. For the nose, use the stencil as a sizing guide. To make a 3 dimensional nose for Olaf, cut a piece of orange felt, roll it into a cone shape and then stuff with polyfil. Attach stuffed nose to top of cap rim using hot glue.
6. Add hair pieces to the top of the cap using the black pipe cleaners available
here. Pierce the top of the hat making a hole slightly smaller than the pipe cleaner to push the pipe cleaner through. Allow enough give on the underside of the cap so that the pipe cleaner can be attached and stay in place.
7. Glue 3 larger black felt circles on to the front of the white shirt
8. For fun, complete the costume using a top hat a trick or treat bag. Have a better idea? Leave it in the comments section below.
