Barn Doors in the House | How to Stain a Farmhouse Door

We purchased a barn door and hung it up. After a couple of years, we wanted to stain the door to give it a more homey look and feel. To start, purchase a barn door kit.

remove the hardware

Sand the door using a DeWalt Orbital sander.

Selecting a color of wood stain was one of the hardest decisions. I selected gray, Fogstone, but there are numerous variations to choose from.

Apply the wood stain using a foam brush.
